My Experience on Boot.dev my first Project and more Part (1/?)

Boot.dev Learn Go

I have done the course until the Free version stopped. I have done because I always heard go was good a bit one was the YT Channel Dreams of Code and other channels I have watch, I always wanted to do it. I did it until Function for reasons provided before, I enjoyed, it was a solid course, I liked how it changed from just checking the print to instead a Unit Tests. Years ago I played in my education when I was finished my assignments I played Clash of code and if always a way to cheese the checker then rather solve the problem. So I was positively surprised of that, but it was made for developers, I wish that could write code somewhere else, maybe like shh into a session. i don’t know if ill buy a subscription but if I do ill finish my course for course and the do the Learn HTTP Clients and Build a Pokédex in Go so I build a Project to solid my experience with Go and something to show and then decide whether i want to use go more or not. if I then get the subscription I’m going to write a blog here about that.

Starting the Backend path

After doing that course I got interest in doing a path then choose the Backend Path for Typescript, I choose Typescript to use a more used language than go and more familiar with it. I choose to skip the first two courses because I have already more in depth ones in the Sparc program and I use Arch BTW as a Daily driver. then a saw the third one was a Project and the decided that a way to de-rust my python skills with that Project.

Build a Bookbot in Python

First I was surprised they offered a CLI to check the code, so I can write wherever code I want, I thought that was very cool, so it’s solved the Problem I mentioned before, still a bit annoying that for very course the different command, and it’s some random assortment of characters, i cant figured what the command would pass a pattern, so I need to copy and paste it every time. But it isn’t bad because the website open either way for the exercise but still a bit of friction, that became a bit more that i liked because i didn’t have done the python course, i didn’t have they spell books pages (the Boot dev internal documentary that get more pages the more exercise you do) for the python stuff I need to change the Browser tab lot, and so I have to change the Tab when I wanted to submit something but yeah, it wasn’t much, but it added do so much I noted. The biggest problem was that while doing this project, it was simpler that was I did 4 years as my first real project, the last commit was on the Sep 27, 2021. But would still a good first project, but I wonder if a bigger one wouldn’t be better.
